How we sort
Categories are deliberately broad. A pixel-art editor and a terminal task manager both live in SaaS; a weekly maker newsletter and a daily news brief both live in Newsletters. The category is the bucket; the listing copy is where you differentiate. Most products fit cleanly into one; if yours genuinely spans two, pick the one most of your visitors come from.
We don't add new top-level categories often โ ten is deliberately small. New types of product usually fold into Other for a few months before we decide whether they've become their own thing.
What every category gets
- A dedicated indexed page at
/category/<slug>, ranked by current Spark and crawlable by Google. - A live Spark leaderboard scoped to the category โ new launches start with a fair shot, not buried under last year's incumbents.
- Dofollow backlinks on every listing, free tier included. Detailed here.
- Human review of every submission. No drive-by listings, no SEO sludge.
Don't see a fit? Submit under Other and we'll route it during review.
